Artist Statement

I have a Hungry Eye. I am a Shadow Fixer, a Shape Shifter, and a Melder of Life, Colour, and Magic.

The image is paramount: my aim is to capture the vital essence of the subject. The image is a direct response to whomever/whatever I work with -- it's not about me, it's about the person, the place or the theme.

The cold realism of conventional photography, by simply transporting an image from three dimensions to two dimensions, can deaden the subject's vitality. I infuse my photography with another kind of realism, a sorcery, full of life, heart, and colour.

In my images the life of my subjects shines.
